Image review

Select a changed image in Changes, History or a pull request and ffgit opens it in the image viewer instead of a text diff. It supports PNG, JPEG, WebP and restricted static SVG.

ModeWhat it shows
Side by sideBefore and after in two synchronized panes
SwipeOne image over the other with a divider you drag
OverlayThe after image blended over the before image
Pixel diffOnly the changed pixels, in the highlight color
Before / AfterOne side at full size
BlinkThe two versions alternating in place
Equal widthA visual comparison at the same width, pixel statistics hidden

The status line shows each side’s size and the share of pixels that changed.

  • Fit, Width and 1:1, an editable zoom field and Fit changes, which keeps your choice.
  • Cursor-centered wheel, pinch and double-click zoom; the two panes stay in sync.
  • Keyboard navigation and a shortcut help overlay that opens over the canvas without resizing it.
  • Highlight toggle, with eight highlight colors (also used by pixel diff) and an intensity that persist across launches.
  • RGBA threshold and transparency backgrounds.
  • A near divider that aligns portrait images using each source width.

In Pipelines, a CI artifact with golden-test failures groups them with Expected ↔ Actual, isolated-diff and masked-diff views in the same viewer. The scenario, device, theme, text scale and locale show when the artifact’s run report states them.
